Vehicle Name: DAIHATSU COPEN GR SPORT

Daihatsu Motor Co., Ltd. (hereinafter “Daihatsu”) and SPK Corporation (hereinafter“SPK”) will participate as the D-SPORT Racing Team in the FIA World Rally Championship (WRC) Round 13, “FORUM8 Rally Japan 2025,” scheduled to be held from Thursday, November 6 to Sunday, November 9, 2025, competing with the DAIHATSU COPEN GR SPORT.

The team achieved class victories at Rally Japan in 2022 and 2023. In 2024, despite facing a challenging situation with a day-retire, the team returned to the race and finished second in its class.
For this year’s “FORUM8 Rally Japan 2025,” the team will leverage insights gained from past challenges to improve thermal management, including cooling and heat dissipation.
The vehicle will be equipped with the KR engine (1,000 cc) and will use FIA-designated sustainable fuel. Aligned with the mission to “create ever-better cars through motorsports” and “make the joy of driving accessible to all,” Daihatsu and SPK, as one team, will continue efforts to broaden the base of motorsports while pursuing ever-better car development.
