Report on Results of D-SPORT Racing Team’s Participation in the 2024 FIA World Rally Championship (WRC) Round 13, Rally Japan
Daihatsu Motor Co., Ltd. (hereinafter “Daihatsu”) and SPK Corporation (hereinafter “SPK”) jointly operate the D-SPORT Racing Team, which competed in the 2024 FIA World Rally Championship (WRC) Round 13, Rally Japan, held from Thursday, November 21, to Sunday, November 24, and successfully completed the rally.
With the mission to “create ever-better cars through motorsports,” the vehicle was equipped with innovative features, including an expanded body and increased engine output (770cc), as it aimed for a third consecutive class victory in this rally.
The vehicle demonstrated exceptional performance, finishing Day 2 as the leader of the JR3 class. However, an accident on Day 3 led to a day-retire. Through collaborative efforts, repairs were completed, allowing the vehicle to rejoin the course on Day 4.
As a result, the determination and teamwork demonstrated by the team culminated in successfully finishing the rally. Through this challenge, valuable insights were gained to further enhance car development, while strengthening the cohesion of the team.

The team will continue to make efforts to “create ever-better cars through motorsports” and pursuing the goals of “MONODUKURI (craftmanship) and KOTODUKURI (creating experience)” through trying to deliver excitement and joy to as many people as possible.
