SPK Corporation (headquartered in Osaka, Japan; Kyoichiro Oki, President; hereinafter “SPK”) announced that it resolved at the board of directors to acquire all shares of BLITZ Corporation (headquartered in Tokyo, Japan; Satoshi Yamaguchi, President; hereinafter “BLITZ”), and as a result, BLITZ has become a wholly owned subsidiary of SPK.

BLITZ Corporation was established in 1981 for the purpose of selling automotive customized parts. With its planning, development, and technical capabilities to create innovative, reliable, and high-quality products, the company has established a solid brand “BLITZ” and is expanding its business both in Japan and overseas.

SPK decided to acquire shares because it believes that combining such brand and product development capabilities with SPK group’s global sales network and procurement capabilities can enhance synergies and further increase the business value of the group.

Through this acquisition, SPK aims to expand its business domain and further strengthen efforts to become a “global trading company of mobility business” as defined in VISION 2030, rather than a conventional trading company specializing in automotive spare parts.
